Reading log files as plain text can be rather difficult and it can be easy to miss something. The Configuration Manager Trace Log Tool is a great program that makes reading log files quick and easy. Although it was created for people that are using System Center Configuration Manager once you associate it with .log files you can use it to view any log files you need.
